So shall it be with my father: he shall be
called a prince over his posterity, holding
the keys of the patriarchal priesthood over the kingdom of God on earth, even the Church
of the Latter Day Saints, and he shall sit in the general assembly of patriarchs, even in
council with the Ancient of Days when he shall sit and all the patriarchs with him and shall
enjoy his right and authority under the direction of the Ancient of Days.

  • Notes
    • When Martha and Ephraim were married, they lived in Castledale on a farm. Martha's health was failing after the birth of their 6th child. She couldn't tolerate the drinking water so they moved to Mt. Pleasant and bought a 120 acre farm where they raised livestock, hay and grain. They also purchased a house in town in Mt Pleasant. They spent their winters in town and summers on the farm.
Martha was disappointed when Ephraim didn't go
to the temple with her and her parents. She couldn't do her own work and was told that she could come back some day and have it done, but never did. Their youngest daughter had their temple work done for them.

Mrs. Dodge died in Provo Sunday night from causes incident to age.

She was born in Mt. Pleasant Feb. 25, 1863, a daughter of Alma and Margaret Tidwell Zabriskie. She was married to Ephraim Jeffs and they lived in Castle Dale until moving to Mt. Pleasant in 1901. Mr. Jeffs died Sept. 25, 1910, and in 1912 Mrs. Jeffs married Zene Dodge, who died in 1930. She was a member of the L D S church.

Surviving are three sons and three daughters; a brother, 20 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
